A seasoned tennis professional with a legacy spanning continents, Kevin Green brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role as a coach at SET Academy. Kevin’s journey in tennis took him to the United States of America on a tennis scholarship to Memphis State University, where he not only played but also graduated with a BBA in Marketing.

Upon completing his college education, Kevin assumed the role of Head Pro at Ridgeway Tennis Club in Memphis, demonstrating his commitment to both playing and coaching. His affiliation with the USPTA coaching academy further solidified his standing as a dedicated tennis professional. Notably, Kevin maintained an impressive ranking in the UJA in Men’s 34 y Singles and secured the 2nd spot in Doubles during his coaching tenure in the USA.

Returning to Australia in 1988, Kevin continued his tennis journey, teaching at Camberwell TC and Box Hill North TC. Remarkably, at the age of 45, he played State Grade 1 Pennant for Grace Park TC and clinched the Victoria 50 singles title. Kevin’s prowess extends beyond the national stage; he has been ranked 4th in Australia in Men’s 75 singles and holds a world ranking of 60 in that age group.

Since joining SET Academy in 2019, Kevin has become an integral part of the coaching team, exhibiting a deep love for working with players of all ages, from the very young to the not-so-young, including older adults. A true disciplinarian, Kevin is unwavering in his commitment to seeing his students improve their game. Often described as ‘old school,’ his pupils appreciate his dedication and passion for the game, making Kevin Green a beloved figure at SET Academy.
