Daniel is a Tennis Australia Club Professional Qualified Coach with over 16 years of coaching experience in Australia, Germany and the United States. He has coached hundreds of students of all ages, including many top ranked state and national players. He is a strong believer of the technical development of a player from a young age, focusing on full body mechanics. He believes through hard work and determination anything can be accomplished, he knows how to get the best out of every student which is why he is always in high demand. He specialises in planning holistic player programs from private lessons, squads and hitting sessions to off court strength and conditioning. His coaching techniques are constantly evolving in line with the modern day game. Players from all across Victoria travel to train at SET Academy thanks to his specialised programs which have produced several top ranked players.

Daniel has an extensive playing career beginning as a junior in the Australian Institute of Sport program where he was ranked number 1 in Australia in his age group from 1996 to 2000 and played in the Australian Open junior event. He continued to travel the globe playing at a professional level attaining ATP world rankings in singles and doubles. Daniel was a hitting partner for former world #1 and 7 time Grand Slam Champion Justine Heninduring the 2011 Australian Open. Daniel continues to play tennis at a high level representing the Dingley Tennis Club in the Asia Pacific Tennis League with Sam Groth in 2014, Australia Premier League and Grade 1 Pennant.

Daniel is involved in Tennis Australia’s Talent Development programs, he holds a Level 2 Tennis Australia Club Professional Qualification, Certificate III and IV in Fitness, Senior First Aid and constantly attends Tennis Australia Workshops.
